What Do We Offer to Students and Instructors of Soil Science?

Pedosphere.Ca Introduction to Soil Science and Soil Resources Textbook:

  1. The first volume of 'The Pedosphere and Its Dynamics: A Systems Approach to Soil Science' book series 'Introduction to Soil Science and Soil Resources' was published in 1999 and has been reprinted four times.

  2. We have used the Canadian System of Soil Classification throughout the textbook and have information on Soil Taxonomy and the World Reference Base for Soil Resources.

  3. The content of the first edition is organized into 12 chapters.

  4. Each subsection has three headings: definitions, concepts and applications. We have done this to ensure that the users can master the terminology necessary to understand the major concepts being presented and apply these to solve problems.

  5. This approach also makes active use of the glossary and allows the user to master the content efficiently and illustrates our commitment to design products which enhance teaching and learning.
